The Timeshare for the WIN

From spontaneous getaways to cherished family moments, our timeshare has truly been a game-changer in making travel more accessible and enjoyable.

Okay, so in the previous post, I discussed how I flew my family to Florida by utilizing points, the Companion Pass and a mere $56. Now, I will talk about where we stayed.

Since I knew the dates for our vacation and I knew my timeshare booking window opens 13 months in advance, I immediately booked a 3 bedroom when it hit midnight, 13 months prior to our departure date. This way I was able to ensure I would be able to knab a unit that would fit my family of 5 and also my in-laws. With my timeshare, the housekeeping fees are included as well.

So to stay and rent a 3 bedroom unit for about 4 nights/5 days, I did not have to pay anything out of pocket, but rather I used my timeshare credits, which amounted to about 10,000 points. Considering I have about 30,000 credits per year and I can borrow an additional 30,000 credits for the following year, this was not a huge chunk of the credits I had to work with.

The timeshare was nice. It fit all of us without feeling cramped. The location was wonderful, as it was less than 15 minutes to the port. And I didn’t have to worry about putting extra money in my budget for housing on this trip.

Until next time,
